Deb Lund is a Great Author

Posted by: bonniecrow on: August 9, 2009

Okay, one of my favorite (new to me) authors is Deb Lund. “Monsters on Machines” is a great tale for boys and girls. I think children will like the different kinds of construction vehicles and how they are used in the story. Children will enjoy the catchy rhyming. The illustrations completed by Robert Neubecker are great…I’ll have to try this out on my two year old grand-daughter when she gets a little older as I’m unsure if the monster may scare her…maybe not. However, I think she would love “All Aboard the Dinotrain” right now. Riley loves dinos and trains. The story is darling. They end up home for dinohugs and an ending with a twist for the next book…I’m sure. Wish I could write rhyme like Deb Lund.

Deb Lund will be on blog tour Nov. 1-7, 2009. Please contact me to schedule an interview.

Hi Michele,
I would love to set up an interview. How would I do that? Type up a list of questions and then she would respond? Please let me know. Thanks
Bonnie

You are a dear, and I have a hunch you COULD write rhyme–you do, right? Robert paints the black on white, then colors it using the computer. The pictures sure jump out, don’t they? The third dinobook will be out this spring. Dinosoaring. Big hugs to Riley. Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Deb,   I love all your dino books and will get the next one as soon as it comes out. Riley has me read those books to her until I have to start hiding them under the couch seats and tell her they are gone…don’t know where they went. I’m sure she will catch on soon.   I’ve been trying my hand at writing for children for six years. Having taught 30 years I read many many books and my favorite subject to teach was writing. The principal even had me teach the other teachers “How to teach writing”. Hopefully one day it will happen. I do have one ms a couple of publishers are looking at: Blooming BluebonnetsJewels of Nature. I just hope they want it.   Hope your weather is cooler whereever you are than in humid ole Katy/Houston area. Thanks for contacting me. I emailed your agent person and told her I would love to interview you in November. She just needs to tell me “how” to do it.   Have a great writing week. Bonnie

Hi Bonnie, I taught for over 20 years (music, classroom, library…), and wrote during much of that. I, too, taught writing to my colleagues as well as my students. It’s a great beginning–keep at it!

You can send me your questions. Happy Writing!

Hope your fall has been delightful. It’s been busy here, and we’re looking forward to the holidays. Send me an email from my website and we can chat without me cluttering up your blog. ; )
